With speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s, USB 3.0 is quickly becoming the new standard in data transfer technology for PCs and laptops. Current computers usually only have 10/100 Ethernet connections, while Macbooks Air, Ultrabooks, subnotebooks etc. no longer have any Ethernet connections. Existing USB 2.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapters are limited by the USB 2.0 standard to a maximum data transfer speed of 480 Mbps, while our DIGITUS® Gigabit Ethernet USB 3.0 adapter achieves speeds of 1000 Mbps. Thanks to its low power consumption of 200 mA, the adapter can also be used with a Macbook Pro and Macbook Air without any problems. Also suitable for compatible games consoles without an RJ45 socket.
